Teeth Whitening and Cleaning

One of the easiest and quickest cosmetic dental treatments that offers the best and most significant results is teeth whitening. For this treatment we use the Luma Cool™ Teeth Whitening System. This has proved to be the best and safest way to bleach teeth. The system whitens in less than an hour. Although not everyone can benefit from tooth whitening (it cannot lighten fillings or crowns, for example), most people with healthy teeth are potential candidates.

The whitening effect will last for at least 6 months. As the treatment does not damage your teeth in any way it can be repeated as often as you want.

The Procedure:

Tooth whitening is a simple procedure:

1. The treatment starts with a tooth cleaning. Tartar will be removed and your teeth polished.
2. A gel containing H2O2 (Hydrogen Peroxide) is applied to your teeth.
3. The light from the Luma Cool lamp accelerates the break-down of H2O2. The resulting oxygen free molecules penetrate the enamel and dissolve the molecules that cause the staining and discolourisation of the teeth. This will take 8 minutes.
4. This procedure will be repeated 2 times.
